  • CERTAIN CHEMICAL PRODUCT (BRAZIL) - 2007: Representation of an Indian exporter in Brazilian antidumping and countervailing measure investigations on the imports of a chemical product originating from India and Thailand.
    RESULT: Exclusion of main product exported from order based on the lack of similarity arguments.
  • CHEMICAL RESIN (BRAZIL) - 2007: Representation of a Brazilian importer in an antidumping investigation in Brazil on the imports of a chemical resin originating from the European Union and the US.
    RESULT: In a short period, the Client was excluded from the investigation, with no imposition of duties.
  • CERTAIN WIRES (BRAZIL) – 2007: Viability study for a Brazilian company regarding the opening of an antidumping investigation against the imports of certain wires in Brazil.
  • STAINLESS STEEL PRODUCTS (BRAZIL) – 2006 - 2007: Viability study about the opening of an antidumping investigation in Brazil regarding the imports of several lines of stainless steel products.
  • TOYS (BRAZIL) - 2006: Advice and consulting for a Brazilian importer of toys concerning the safeguards applied and voluntary export restriction regarding Chinese exports to Brazil.
    RESULT: No restraints against the company.
  • CERTAIN GLASS PRODUCTS (ARGENTINA) – 2006-2007: Defense of five Brazilian exporters and six Argentine importers in antidumping investigation regarding the imports of certain glass products originating from Brazil and China.
    RESULT: Price undertaking for the companies, which resulted, among others, in the triplication of the exports to Argentina of the biggest Brazilian producer, with higher profit margins.
  • ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS (ARGENTINA) – 2006: Defense of a Brazilian exporter in antidumping investigation over imports of certain electrical components originating from Brazil before both Argentine trade authorities (dumping and injury).
    RESULT: No imposition with corporate restructure strategy.
  • POULTRY MARKET ACCESS (BRAZIL) – 2005: Consulting work to the Poultry Segment regarding sanitary and phytosanitary measures (regionalization and compartmentalization), and U.S. market access.
  • STEEL PRODUCT (BRAZIL) – 2005-2006: Sunset Review defense of antidumping duties imposed by DECOM over a certain steel product originating from Mexico and four other origins.
    RESULT: Unprecedented and to date not replicated reduction of the duty imposition period from 5 to 2 years and 88% original order reduction.
  • CHEMICAL RESIN (BRAZIL) – 2004-2005: Representation of one of the then largest global producers of certain chemical resins, fibers and intermediaries in a Brazilian antidumping investigation on US exports of one specific resin.
    RESULT: The client got the lowest order among the respondents.
  • CERTAIN SEAFOOD (USA) – 2003-2007: Representation before the US Department of Commerce of the largest Brazilian exporter of certain seafood originating from Brazil and other origins in an antidumping investigation. Assistance in the negotiation with petitioners relating to subsequent administrative reviews.
    RESULT: The client got the lowest order among the respondents.
  • CERTAIN CHEMICAL FOODSTUFF (MEXICO) – 2003: Defense of the sole Brazilian exporter of certain chemical foodstuff before the Mexican Administrative Authority in a phase prior to the antidumping investigation.
    RESULT: The Mexican authority was successfully persuaded not to initiate the antidumping proceeding, benefiting the Brazilian producer.
